Our Education Offering: modern, forward-facing, innovative

Both chairs, Foundry Science and Corrosion and Corrosion Protection, promote education and learning in many different scientific fields related to casting technology and corrosion. Study of the fundamentals of casting technology and corrosion are offered in a range of B.Sc. and M.Sc. courses as mandatory or optional subjects. The special advanced learning programmes of both Chairs are offered with consecutively following B.Sc. and M.Sc courses: „Materials Engineering“ or „Business Administration and
Engineering, specialization Materials and Process Engineering“.

For English-speaking students also the master program “Metallurgical Engineering” is offered. The B.Sc. provides a professionally qualifying course (normally 6 semesters). With a B.Sc. in their pocket, students can deepen their scientific knowledge by taking an M.Sc. course (4 semesters). For the M.Sc., students choose between a course providing broad-based knowledge or a highly-specialised course featuring the following advanced and optional modules:
