The Foundry Institute

The Foundry Institute, short GI, is a global leader in research and learning in the field of foundry technology. We take the view that research and learning are two sides of the same coin, and that research itself must take two directions: fundamental and application-oriented. For us, training engineers in both theory and practice in equal measure is fundamental to teaching at the higher level. The close cooperation we have with our affiliated institute Access e.V. in addition to the ideally complementary cooperation of the four chairs of the Foundry Institute is key in enabling all institutes to enjoy a research environment of the highest order, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and analytic tools.
